Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Ensure high availability and performance of managed environments;
- Acting in the continuous improvement of environments;
- Conduct root cause analysis of incidents that occurred and define an action plan for their definitive solution;
- Seek technological innovations to benefit the team’s activities;
- Define criteria for monitoring the applications and managed platforms.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
- Administration or software development in PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Experience with multiple OSS database systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Redshift)
- PaaS / IaaS experience
- Experience with different operating systems (Windows, Linux, Solaris)
- Understanding of Unix/Linux systems as hosts for PostgreSQL/MySQL databases and client applications
- Skilled with PostgreSQL/MySQL database clusters, replication and high availability, tuning and scalability
- Knowledgeable of OSS database utilities and tools
- Ability to troubleshoot in a Linux environment
- Understanding of PostgreSQL extensions • Understanding of common OSS development languages like Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, R, PHP, Perl are a plus
- Knowledgeable of PostgreSQL/MySQL data structures and architecture
